Christopher Lincoln has an extensive and wide ranging career which has seen him sing leading roles all over the world, including houses such as San Francisco Opera, Gran Teatre Liceau Barcelona, Het Musiktheater Amsterdam, Flemish National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Frankfurt, Hannover, Dusseldorf, Leipzig, Dresden and Bulgarian National Opera as well as the major Australasian companies. Here he has appeared in major roles that range from Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti Puccini and Verdi through to Janacek, Britten, Berg and Hindermith. He has also created leading roles in a number of world premier opera performances.

Born in Australia, Christopher Lincoln studied at the Victorian College of the Arts with the late Dame Joan Hammond. n graduating, he joined the Victoria State Opera as part of their Young Artist Programme. Winning the Opera Foundation Australia's Germany Operatic Award enabled him to take a two year contract at Cologne Opera. He has, since then, based himself in Germany appearing throughout Europe and America though he enjoys returning regularly to Australia to sing.

As a concert soloist Christopher has sung much of the solo repertoire as well as appearing regularly as a recitalist. He appears on a number of CD's of 20th Century German Lieder.
